Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck will often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to lift personnel. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
