Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move supplies and products around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.
To be able to avoid loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated with care. Machine must be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet should be carefully stacked in order to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to be able to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the thrust can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Gradually come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
