Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were unreachable by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and production.
